As a church grows bigger, it must also grow smaller.
At Community Church we are passionate about reaching others with the good news of Jesus Christ. Our desire is to reach out into the community and remove every barrier that keeps someone from knowing Christ. We want everything we do as a church to serve the purpose of bringing souls to Jesus and helping them mature as disciples. We believe in church growth, not for numbers’ sake, but for souls’ sake.
We also believe that each of us is designed for community – a place to grow and nurture our relationships with other Christians. That’s why we believe involvement in a Life Group is so important to our spiritual formation. Being connected to other believers in a small group provides support and care when we need it most. It is in this environment that we can best give and receive encouragement to walk out our faith as disciples of Jesus. The environment of a small group allows individuals to get to know each another in a way that is impractical in a large corporate setting.
Life is better when lived in community.
We all have hectic schedules and need to know if the time we devote to something has any real benefits. We believe that involvement in a Life Group produces a huge return on investment. Here is a short list of some of the benefits you can expect to reap:
Connection with others to develop meaningful relationships so that no one stands alone.
- A genuine place for you to belong - to be accepted and be loved for who you are.
- Help for discovering your purpose and providing you a place to fulfill it.
- An environment for you to serve and be served; to bless and be blessed.
- Freedom to be you – transparent and authentic.
- Meaningful community – real people doing real life together.
- Challenges to develop and mature as a follower of Christ within the context of a loving and supportive accountability group.
- A safety net so no one falls through the cracks as we face the challenges of life together.
