Through The Grace of Giving



In April 2004 Community Church began a capital campaign called "Through the
Grace of Giving". Pledges were made in excess of 1.2 million dollars to pay
off debt, enhance and maintain our facility, and embark on new ministry
opportunities. One of the focuses of our facility improvements are to meet
the special needs access through our buildings. Improvements to exterior
sidewalks, new handicap ramps, enhanced and upgraded handicap parking, a new
handicap lift to our sanctuary and 2nd floor areas, access to our youth
floor, and new handicap restrooms on the main floor are just a few of the
planned access upgrades that have been completed thus far. A new children's
floor has been opened up with a large multi-purpose gathering area along
with a new children's library. The Worshiping Arts Department has a new
center giving a venue for the Community Choir, special events, writer's
nights and other "arts" activities, as well as the "home" for all of the
music ministry. New ministry opportunities in the mission field as well as
additional staff have been added. Upgrades to our main gathering area and
structural improvements to our youth department are underway. All of this,
and the additional upcoming phases of this campaign, have been made possible
with God's help through the sacrifice of the Community Church family. As we
journey together, we will continue to open new doors of opportunity where
God directs us next.
