Freed Up - A Study of Galatians Teacher(s): Doug Varnado Text: Galatians Room: Family Life Center Description: A verse-by-verse study of Paul's letter to the Galatians, which establishes the truth of salvation through Christ alone and the believer's freedom in him.
Genesis Unplugged Teacher(s): John Stewart Text: Genesis Room: 202 Description: A verse-by-verse study of the Old Testament book of Genesis.
Parables of Jesus Teacher(s): Dee Kimbrell, Tom Hicks Text: Scripture Room: 2nd Floor Conference Room Description: A study of the four gospel accounts of Jesus' teaching through parables. Confounding yet clear. Simple but never simplistic. Hidden to some and revealed to others. This class will open the doors to the exciting words of Jesus' parables.

Also, we'll learn how to move beyond superficial relationships & to extend community to those who haven't experienced God's love.

Adult Bible Classes - Winter 2005 (December - February) The Journey Continues . . . Joshua and Judges Teacher(s): Doug and Linda Varnado Room: Community Room Description: This is the third section of our Old Testament journey series. We have studied Genesis, Exodus and portions of the reminder of the Pentateuch. This study examines the "faith journey" of God's people as they enter the Promised Land. Community Choir Teacher(s): Kevin Lawson *Texts: The Air I Breathe & The Unquenchable Worshiper Room: Worshiping Arts Center Description: Community choir is open to all who desire to worship God in song. *Bible Study is held from 6:30-7:00 p.m. for all choir members prior to rehearsal. No childcare is provided prior to 7:00 p.m. Women's Classes: December - will focus on JESUS - with selected videos from Beth Moore's "Jesus the One and Only" study (no home-work necessary!) The study demonstrates how God loved and was able to use David despite his disobedience. Lessons I Learned in the Dark by Jennifer Rothschild (25 minute video and workbook w/ approx. 20 min of homework.) Teacher(s): Anita Horner / Suzanne Jett Text: Scripture (beginning with Hebrews) along with the above book Room: 206 Description: Jennifer shares her experiences of being physically blind. She gently encourages us to take risks, give God control, persevere through hardship, receive God's gifts and be guided by the truth rather than our feelings. Women's City-wide Bible Study: ENJOY - An inductive study of Philippians by Tianne Moorn, will begin Thursday 1/11-2/22 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the Community Rm. Small groups and video. The class began on 9/21 and will continue through March 2006. Young Adult Class: Faith - Finding God Teacher(s): Benny Bills Text: Praise Habit Room: 207 Description: Assisting young people in finding God in everyday life and learning to praise Him in every opportunity.
